CITY OF ADELANTO DEVELOPMENT SERVICES COVID-19 SCHEDULES
ADELANTO, Calif. – Adelanto's Building and Safety Division continues to operate as close to normal as possible. Staff continues to issue permits, process plan reviews and is meeting with applicants by appointment only. Building inspections continue as normal Monday through Thursday. The building inspector is also making overtime inspections on Fridays as requested by the development community.
Staff is also adjusting their voice mail message to inform the public on any alternate schedules. You can contact the Planning Department at 442-249-1189, and the Building and Safety Department at 442-249-1181 and Engineering Department 442-249-1143. Additionally, staff will be posting this information on the city's web page.

The Development Services Department is responsible for all planning, development and permitting activities. The department brings together building services, civil engineering, planning and zoning, permit applications and major projects in a way that customers can access information, start new projects, and get projects approved.

Engineering & Public Services
The Public Works Department of the City of Adelanto is responsible improving the quality of life of the community by overseeing of the design, installation and maintenance of all City owned building, streets and drainage improvement, and all parks and publicly maintained streetscapes.

Engineering Department
The engineering Department employs a staff of two employees and performs its function through cooperative work with the community development department to carefully review all projects submitted to the city prior to their entitlement to ensure that all projects are conditioned to be designed and constructed in accordance with the City of Adelanto development code and is in compliance with all federal, state and county regulation.

Parks & Facilities Department
The Parks Department manages over 30 acres of developed park land comprising the City's 4 parks. The Department is responsible for providing safe, clean, and appealing outdoor facilities including, park facilities, landscaping features along major streets and landscaping of City facilities.

Street Department
The Department maintains a daily work-force to respond and repair roadway pavement. This includes fixing potholes, pavement patching, overlays, and slurry seals.

Planning Commission
The Planning Commission prepares and implements the General Plan as well as recommends regulations for future growth, development, and beautification of the City.
