COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) Updates

Please note, this is a rapidly evolving situation and the risk assessment may change daily, if not hourly.

The City of Adelanto is taking measures to protect the public through facility closures in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  These steps are in line with the aggressive measures public health authorities advise.

City offices, including City Hall, Adelanto Stadium, Senior and Community Centers, will close to the public at 6 p.m. on March 16th and will not re-open until further notice.

The decision to close public buildings to the public will be reviewed each Monday, starting March 23rd.  City management staff is currently working on a response plan to address City staff’s work schedules and duties during the local emergency.  In the coming days, we will issue more information on this matter.

The City’s declaration of a local emergency on March 12th will not affect the work schedules of Police, Fire, and Public Utilities employees whose work is required to provide the city with water and wastewater services.

The City will cancel all scheduled public events at city facilities until further notice.  Refunds of special event fees will be issued to organizations that previously paid fees for the cancelled events.

Online services, including bill payments, will remain available; bills may also be paid by phone, or by mail.  Utility payments can be made in the drop box available at the City Hall facility.  Utility shut-offs for unpaid or late bills will be postponed at least until the end of April, and late payments will be accepted without penalty.
